What other topics would you like to research?

I believe that you can always learn a great deal about a subject by researching it. I want to continue getting more information about Autism Spectrum Disorder of course. My husband suffered a PE (pulmonary embolism) last week. It was very shocking situation for me and my family. Instead of spending Father's Day together as family at home ,my husband was in a hospital bed going through this. After a lot of test and ultrasounds they were still unable to locate the source of these blood clots which is a pretty scary thing. I plan on research a lot more about this subject to better educate my family and give some relief. This is the 9Th week of class out a ten week term and I had some much to do this week. But my family comes first and I glad I was able to be there for my husband when he needed me most.

Do you plan to continue your blog even after the course?

I have had a good experience with blogging. It is nice to discuss my classroom and life experiences in an open forum. I just wish I could receive more feedback from the other students. But I figure that is because I don't really leave comments on other peoples blog so I cant really complain. I want to continue with my blog site even after class is over. It another healthy way to let off stress. This is our 8Th week of class out of a ten week term. I cant believe how fast time flies by. I looking forward to loosing up the content of my post since I wont be getting graded on it lol. Sincerely Venice

How is school influencing your life at or up to this point?

Hello Everyone. School has been a very big influence on my life. Once I became a parent school give me a something great to look forward to. A better future for me and my family. In high school I really did'nt take school that serious. I ran track and receive a full ride schlarship to college.I made a decision after visiting different colleges that I would attend a out of state school. It really was the wrong choose for me. Not having the full support I had from home I slacked a lot.I started getting involved in the wrong crowd of people and school became less and less important. Eventually I left the school and starting attending another school the next semester. That didnt work out either. I realized that I needed to find myself. Look deep into what I really wanted out of life. I moved in with my grandmother who is my greatest supporter and started making some good decisions regarding my life and career. Little while after that I met and fall in love with my husband. After having my first child I told my husband I wanted to go back to school and he fully supported my decision. I have already completed a medical billing and coding program ,now I will be recieving a degree from Kaplan University for Medical Assistanting and I could not be more proud of myself. I love being a student and learning new things. But my biggest satification comes from my kids when they see that their mom did what she had to finish school and it motivates them to do their best in school no matter what.

What would you do if someone used something you created without giving you credit?

Plagarism is a very big issue in professional world. If you use someone else's work or ideas you need to give them credit. This happen to me before and it is a very unpleasant experience. When I worked at a job ,and the staff were asked to give ideas to make the office run more smoothely. I came up the a great idea to lessen the paperwork we had coming in . Before going to speak to my supervisor I spoke to another employee to see what she thought of the idea. She told she did know about it working so I did'nt bring it up to my boss. Later that week we had our team meeting and the boss spoke of a great idea she had gotten from the employee. It was the same idea I had. I was both shocked and upset. I could'nt believe she would pass off my idea as hers and not even give me credit. I waited about a day to see if she would say anything to me about it but she never did. So I spoke to my boss I let her know that I came up with the idea and that only one I told was the empolyee. My boss liked that I was honest and at the next team meeting she let everyone I came up with the idea. I felt a lot better and I learned a valuable lesson .When you have an idea dont hold back let the person who came make it happen know so you receive credit. And for people who use others work or ideas make sure you give credit where credit due.

My Topic on my school essay "Autism"

Hello everyone. My topic for my essay is Autism. I just learned about three weeks ago my youngest son Jacob was diagnosed with Autism. It was one of the biggest shock of my life. My son was born at 27 weeks. He stayed in the NICU for three months , he had a small brain bleed and respiratory problems but he made it through. Jacob is now as healthy as an ox.But he always had developmental issues. He learned walk and talk much later then must kids. We expected that he would have problems communicating and being social but didn't think he was autistic. Prematurity does not cause Autism so we were really unsure how he got get. This paper will allow to do research and found my information Autism to help me better understand my son's condition . He is a very sweet boy and I want to the best mother I can be by knowing all that I can about Autism. If you know someone that has autism or you have any information that can be useful please feel free to post it. I really appreciate any input I received and I try to response as soon as possible so always check back for a comment from me ,Venice.

Life as online student

Being an online student is not easy by any means. It takes hard work and dedication to make it through. This my third term at Kaplan University for Medical Assisting and everyday brings a new challenge. Before I started going to school online I thought it would be easier than going to school on a campus. I had a rude awakening when I started my first term at Kaplan. I would encourage anyone that is thinking of going to school online to do your research. You may be surprised of what is out there to be discovered about life as online student.
